Venue: Diner style restaurant with buffet option and waitress to your table service.
Atmosphere: We stopped in around the end of March and the hostess at this Shoney’s was surly at best. Otherwise, it was your typical Shoney’s with tables and booths.
Food Fare: We were so looking forward to a buffet. The fried chicken was dry, the cottage cheese was warm, but the ham and beans were good. The food provided on the buffet was not up to standards that we have come to expect from Shoney’s. The quality of the food tended to fall into the category of luke warm garbage.
Recommendations: Avoid this Shoney’s location.
Service: Our waitress was friendly even though her service was a little slow starting. She did attend to us more halfway through our meal to earn a tip. We are fairly low maintenance when it comes to service expectations. Keeping our drinks from going dry, clearing away dirty dishes, and checking on us once during a meal will earn a decent tip.
